I got up very calm and composed.. "I said, Just leave me.."

I drew a deep breath.. "I said leave me.. I know you too well.. I know what you've been trying all along.. You have no idea what sort of a trouble you are in.."
"Well," He said smiling, "Whatever it is you would forgive me.." He came close, I moved away..
Facing the party I said.. "Its just not done.. Its not always about us.. You have no idea what you've done to Rach.."
Ned came in front.. "Rachel.. ??" He did not understand what I meant to say..
"Ned Nickerson.. Rachel loves you..."
Ned threw back laughing.. "For God's sake Ann there is a limit for possessiveness.. She never did and also never will love me... She is my friend.. And she should be knowing by now that you love me..."
I challenged.. "You didn't tell her that we two are together right? Welll, neither did I.. "
I turned back faced him and said.. "So how does that sound?"
Ned cupped my face in the moonlight.. "I love you.. More than any one else.."

I blushed let go off him and ran into the party.. And told it to Sarah..
She lifted me off the ground.. Even Richard understood, and went over to Ned for a manly handshake..
But I had a few girly scores to settle.. I knew.. I pouted my plan to Sarah and Richard.. I took Sarah by my hand and winked at Ned..
Both of us were just popping around and then.. We went to Rachel.. "So Rachel..."
"Yo girls, how have you been..?"

Rachel had drunk a bit.. It was obvious the way she was swinging.. "Where is my cutie-pie honey Ned..?"

Ned came from behind.. Rach threw herself upon him, only sorrow thing was that she fell in my arms..

Ned hated me more than anything when I meddled into girly girlish fights, and in fact I hated it myself..
I just began to move.. Ned stole up from behind and lifted me off the ground.. I squealed..

We had attracted a lot of attention from the crowd.. I could see a lot of people looking at us open mouthed..
The minute he left me off to touch the ground.. We were at the parking lot....

I smiled.. My favorite song was on the music system.. I looked outside to see the lights dimming and dipping.. To me they looked perfect in the night..
"Admiring the glow in the dark, lady?" he questioned after a prolonged silence..
I looked at him... I couldn't believe that I actually go my guy.. He was the one that I had dreamed when I thought of crush.. He was perfect.. He had come into my life.. And he was going to be there everyday from now on.. He would love me know matter what I did...

"Why now..??" he frowned and brushed it off..
"Don't baby sit me Ned.." I laughed.. "Just drive.."

I sat stiff... "Can't believe this is happening to me..!!"
Ned got startled.."Why... I thought you expected it earlier.."
I looked at him and said.. "I expected.. But didn't realize the worth of love.."
"Uhh.. Romantic words.." Ned smirked..
I laughed.. "Nothing.. Just nothing.. Drive on..."
We had gone long.. Until I just saw two big lights and an arch full of grasses.. To me at the first look, nothing else could be seen...
I jumped out of the car laughing.. You wanted me to see this arch..
"Well, what do you think..?" He had come quite close to me.. I shivered..
I looked as I winked my eyelids, suddenly lights flashed and I saw.. A white pathway.. Full of marble..
I was amazed..
"Come.." He said gripping my hands and entangling my fingers.. It was safe because it was with him..
To me it was the most beautiful thing that I had ever seen.. I was slowly trying to look around, but it was so dark that I couldn't see a thing..
Then I saw a small bench.. To call it just a bench would be again a disgrace, because it was in white marble, looked as if it was shining solely under the reflection of the moon..
He had left me alone.. The marble was cold... Everything was silent, no one was around..
Millions of questions were running in my mind.. As to why and what was going to happen.. But I was too happy to think..
